Tree of Hope

I am so excited about this latest drawing ‘Tree of Hope’. I’m so inspired by trees right now and the beautiful colours of the leaves this time of year. I thought it would be cool to add some collage to my pencil drawing and it works so well!

It’d hard to see from this picture but when you head on over to Etsy I have a great close up of the flowers which shows them in their sparkling glory. I used some gold paper and it looks so festive and special.

Whimsical Drawings…

I’ve always been passionate about drawing. Since I was a little girl and would sit for hours working on a drawing. As I grew up fears crept in and I ended up putting it aside for many years. Once I started up painting in 2008 I got back to drawing and haven’t looked back since.

Just lately, I’ve been doing a lot more sketching for ‘The Journal Project’ and sketching at Church too. So I decided to start offering my drawings in my shop for you, a whimsical treat to adorn your walls which is something different from my paintings

This was so much fun to work on and very calming.

It’s been raining so much in England, all day, everyday lately and Autumn has come upon us really quickly. We’ve been taking Ellie to the park and noticing more and more beautifully coloured leaves in dark reds, gold’s and greens. Although this time of year can be cold and dark here some days, there is always beauty to be seen.

These little cute robins are enjoying an Autumnal walk together all snuggled up under their umbrella.

The Whisper of Autumn

As the season changes I am also entering a new season of life where new and exciting things are taking place. New art opportunities, new challenges and new friendships. I think this year has been my best yet!

‘The Whisper of Autumn’ is something new for me, it came to me as a vision from God and I love the atmosphere of the painting. I was so keen to get the right ‘feel’ as I had envisioned it and thankfully I did!

I really love this new painting and am hoping more paintings will stem from this as well as my ongoing characters and whimsical things.
