Last night I decided to try something new (new to me), painting before bedtime!
I was amazed at how relaxed it made me and how enjoyable it was to end the day painting. I will certainly be doing this again.

This was the scene on the way home from Church yesterday, all I kept saying was “isn’t this glorious!” Hubby kindly stopped a few times so I could photograph the beauty.
After lunch we went out to walk Ellie, it was so cold but the photographic opportunities were abundant!
This was the view on the way and then check this out as we walked home…
I’ve never seen a sky more beautiful! There is something about snow that changes the landscape and makes everything beautiful.
I’ve taken loads of pics and will be getting them ready to add to my Etsy store for the New Year.

Well that’s it, all my Christmas shopping done yay! I have half of it wrapped too so not doing bad lol. Now I can back to doing some more painting.
This is one of my latest paintings ‘Silver Birches’, it reminds me of a scene you might see outside your window on a briskly cold day as the sun is setting over the hills.

As winter draws nearer, I find myself painting lot’s of winter scenes, which is so much fun and a new learning experience as I play with the paint and see where it takes me.
It’s definitely getting colder outside and slowly the beautiful golden leaves of Autumn are falling away leaving the stark bare tree branches in the landscape. Each season has beauty in it if you take the time to look :)

I’m starting to get in the holiday mood, as the shops fill up with Christmas goodies and thoughts about Christmas cards start to surface, I decided to paint a little winter girl amongst the falling snowflakes.
