Mixed Media Basics Online Class is Back!

It was so well received last time I ran it I decided it would be fun to run the class again this Summer!

This is such a comprehensive class on the basics of mixed media and yet I have tried to present the lessons in simple ways for you to understand and be able to take what you learn and apply it to your own work easily.

Hopefully this class will take the fear of getting started away and you will be able to jump in and really enjoy yourself!

The class is hosted on a private blog and you can download the videos to your own computer, there is also pdf’s and email support.

This time around it won’t be in a class setting, you will be able to go at your own pace and email me for any extra help you need. This is ideal for those of you with busy lives who don’t have much time to take part in a class setting. This way you can just download it all and complete it when you want to.

The videos will be available to download for 3 months from the time you sign up, giving you plenty of time to get everything downloaded to your own computer.

After many years learning mixed media techniques, learning how to use different products and developing my own painting style I created Mixed Media Basics. An online class containing everything I’ve learnt in a concise and easy to understand way.

I wanted to create a class that not only showed you how to paint, but explained all about the different materials and what they can do then go even deeper and discuss how creating art is affected by our emotions and self esteem and what to do about it!

I know a lot of you struggle with confidence and really want to paint but you are scared, scared to make mistakes, scared to try in case you fail.

New Creative Community

I am so excited! I have just opened my very own creative community for you to come and play in!

My first online class Mixed Media Basics was so much fun and I really loved the teaching, it really opened up so much for me creatively than I expected. I’ve tried creating my own communities in the past but it just wasn’t the right time for me but now I feel it’s right to go ahead and jump right in. :D

I taught the first MMB class on a private blog which turned out to be more limited than I had realised, so I decided to move to Ning and open up the options to teach more classes in one place as well as have the opportunity to offer free classes and add not just my art and videos but be able to enjoy communicating with you on a much larger scale.

This is going to be such fun and as the name suggests a big adventure!

Announcing my latest class – Style & Inspiration!

Thanks for your thoughts on routines, if you haven’t read my post from yesterday check it out and let me know your views, I’d love to hear them.

When I started out with these new online classes my intention has always been to share them in a way that will truly benefit your growth as an artist and help you to learn as much as I can possibly share to get you on your way.

Now that Mixed Media Basics is drawing to the end I am now ready to release my next class – Style & Inspiration.

In Mixed Media Basics we learnt literally all the basics with some teaching on painting too. I am so passionate about encouraging you to nurture your own abilities for drawing and painting and so Style & Inspiration is all about doing just that.

I want you to find out what makes you squeal in delight, what makes you want to run to your studio and sketch out that idea and start laying down paint. What makes you so excited you just have to do something about it.

When you are hurting and need comfort, what you respond to most in terms of creation.

And, finally teaching you how to see like an artist!

In this fun class we are going to take ourselves on a journey of discovery. We will be delving into the depths of our hearts and seeing the world (Well, ok Suffolk lol) we will be loving and kind to ourselves and really nurture what’s inside just waiting to come out into our own expressions.
